Livewire Contacts, Inc. ("Livewire Contacts") regards the privacy and security of member information as a critical component of the service that we offer to our members. The following information explains our information gathering and dissemination practices.
In order to use this website, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information such as name and email address. This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest. Inadequate or easy-to-guess passwords are one of the main security problems faced by Internet services. However, improving the security of passwords means using long and random passwords, which users often find difficult to remember. Our policy is that we do not force users to use difficult-to-remember passwords, but instead allow them to update their password at any time.
For certain accounts Livewire Contacts provides a directory, similar to a telephone directory, where users may search for contacts supplied by other users. Each user determines which contacts, if any, he or she wishes to post in the directory by marking the contact as a "Shared Contact" For more information on Shared Contacts, please see our Help section.
We send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as a zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us. This can usually be done using the account management functions of a user's account or by emailing our Customer Support (support@livewirecontacts.com).
Livewire Contacts does not use user information for purposes not directly related to our site. Should this practice change, users will have the opportunity to 'opt-out.' If a user does not wish to receive promotional materials from our partners, they may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying with unsubscribe in the subject line in the email or email us at remove@livewirecontacts.com.
